When in Rome....we'll have a weekend stopover on the way to six days in Turkey. We'll spend the weekend connecting with our favorite things in Rome, adding some new sights (Catacombs and Appian Way, Trastevere), wake up to espresso made by hands descended from those who created it and sup on pasta carbonara. These first days of the sabbatical journey allow us to adjust to the time difference and reawaken our traveling skills before we head for Istanbul and Ephesus.
