Last Sunday we walked on the Ancient Appian Way just outside of Rome and then fortified ourselves with a rustically prepared "porchetta panini" after our hike. The man you see was just hacking away at the porchetta on top of a wooden barrel outside a small shop on the side of the road.
Today we awakened to find a beautiful sea view outside our hotel room (arrived quite late in the dark last night after flying from Istanbul to Rome and picking up a rental car) and when we went down for breakfast were invited to sit outside and watch the sunlight on the Mediterranean while our croissants et al were served. The server said, "you can sit inside if you like but outside is fastastico!"
The cappuccino was perfetto and the view was truly fastastico.
Does the water com up to the window here? That's fun. It looks like of lovely spot! I bet it was hard to leave... unless you have another amazing adventure ahead of you :-)
